Hello Gang, and thank you for tuning into this my 100th episode. So great you can join me and also so grateful for all support this far. I am grateful that I have been able to reach 100 episodes with great consistency and in such a short time frame.

I talk often about passion and purpose and being that I can see the numbers growing and that I am receiving feedback I just know I am offering some level of value. This gives me great purpose to continue on with this project.

I also want to shout out a big thank you to all the fantastic guests that come on the show and share their gold. Great lessons to be had from each and everyone of you. Without their knowledge, wisdom and inspiration the show would not be the same.

In todays episode I thought I would have my mates Daniel Van Veluwen and Daniel Streatfield back on the show to discuss what it takes to set and achieve goals. You may notice that I had a couple of Sake’s under my belt and we certainly veer of in tangents throughout but I think it was well worth it.

I hope you enjoy this chat and again, thank you for tuning in. If you are loving this or any of the other shows please share it with your network for me. Until next time, peace, passion and purpose.

The School of Greatness: A Real-World Guide to Living Bigger, Loving Deeper and Leaving a Legacy by Lewis Howes

“Vision without action is a dream. Action without a vision is a nightmare.” Lewis Howes

Lewis Howes is the host The School of Greatness Podcast. He launched this podcast with attempt to gain from highly successful people what it means to live with success. I have a feeling that his ultimate goal is to live and lead his own legacy – and that he is certainly now doing. A goal worthy for all of us.

Lewis has a great story to share from his own life experiences and for much of which he exposes in this book. Lewis was a professional football player who was struck by a serious injury that put stop to this career.

Like any major life obstacle such occurrences can really put halt to life but also allow you to then ask the bigger questions. “What’s next?” “What’s to become of me now?” “What’s my purpose?” and “How do I discover it?”

[audioplayer file="http://www.thehiddenwhy.com/?p=1694" titles="097: Leigh Martinuzzi| 3 Minute Thought: Dress for Success- but be yourself!" artists="Podcast" track="ffff00"]

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Thomas A. Edison

In this thought I share why it may be necessary to dress for success but equally important to always hold true to your authentic self.

It is so critical that we invest in ourselves and this means internally not externally. Often we don’t invest on ourselves and for this we lack growth and therefore ability to achieve success.

Dress professionally can help your internal confidence and certainly can help you feel great. It can also be perceived as though you are more successful than perhaps you really are – and that’s fine.

However if you are dressing in a way that is uncomfortable, that doesn’t feel like you this may be more a disadvantage rather than an advantage. Be mindful of this and stay true to yourself.

    Enjoy.

Why Being Vulnerable is Grand- Express Your True Self

“The moment that you feel, just possibly, you are walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind, and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself…That is the moment, you might be starting to get it right.” Neil Gaiman

In this episode I share my thoughts on why it is grand to become more vulnerable, express yourself and live more aligned with your authentic self.

    vulnerable

“exposed to the possibility of being attached or harmed, either physically or emotionally.”

The Hidden Why began as a blog. I wrote articles that where my thoughts based on experiences and learnings. Many learnings come from other sources however in reflection of my own life, my experiences, I also learn. It is these that I share.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, Revised Edition by Robert B. Cialdini

What a great book. I used the audio version and really enjoyed the insights the writer shares as to the psychology behind makes people say ‘yes’.

It shares 6 principles that are, reciprocation, commitment and consistency, social proof, authority, liking and scarcity.

Now for the purpose of my review I have no desire to delve into the 6 principles and any great details but would highly recommend you get your self a copy of this book and have a read, or listen in this case.

So why? Why would this have any relevance to my mission, the hidden why.
