  • Summary

“There is no golden ticket in life its just tiny steps or progression moving forward.”

Chris is a traveling entertainer who does one-man variety shows which involves juggling, magic, circus & comedy combined into an interactive and high-energy performance. It’s really fun and his mission is just that- to have fun and have the audience experience this too.

His journey was not an over night success but rather something he has followed and through perseverance and persistence he has made his passion of performing into a success. He describes this journey as an everyday challenge of wanting got give up mixed with moments of something awesome happening to keep him going.

The message clearly is that following your dreams is not instant, its bound to be emotionally tiresome and certainly not always glamorous. Mindset is certainly something that you have to master taking this journey and lifestyle and we discuss techniques such as gratitude’s and acceptance and great ways to remain strong in the mind to be able to keep moving on.

The conversation is fun and was pretty cool to think that he has managed to make success out of this passion. It just goes to show that with the dream, vision and taking correct, consistent action you can make a life truly of your dreams. We also discuss how he went about publishing his first book.

Tune in and be inspired, I thought it was cool and I think you will also. Peace, passion and purpose.

    Key Take Outs

    ·      The 10-year journey. It will be likely that whatever you choose to do that if you want to master it, the journey to success will not be overnight. Choose wisely what you commit to and keep going, you can make your vision reality and live a life of your dreams. Equally so, don’t continue on in a field that truly doesn’t light you up, this will destroy you in the long run.

    ·      Master the mindset. Practice gratitude’s and acceptance. Mindset is something that needs to be mastered across any discipline. Being grateful for what you have is one method to control your mindset and emotions along your journey but also having the ability to accept things as they are. There is much outside your control in life so accept that as it is and focus on what you have and what you can control and do.

    ·      Transition and direct your energy. Choose where you direct your energy and don’t allow your energy to be wasted on low frequency activities, people, behaviors or thoughts. Its wiser to direct your energy towards your efforts to grow, improve and succeed.

    ·      Avoid Comparison to others. We’ve discussed this plenty of time in past episodes but again it presents itself here. Don’t compare yourself to others, we all have different skill levels, different priorities and

    ·      Outsource it. Financially you may not be able to outsource too much of your work but the good news is there are so many simple opportunities to learn how to do things yourself, it’s called the Internet.

    ·      Become productive. Less is more. Try doing what you currently do in 5 days, in 4 days. By doing this you will learn how to become more productive and effective and you will rid yourself of those activities that are wasteful and without benefit.

    ·      Task chunking. Creating ninety-minute blocks of time to focus on just one task, this will allow you to become more productive in your day. Remove all distractions when you do this and just give it a go.

    ·      Prepare for it. The day will come when you need to be ready, so start 5 years ago in preparation for that day. The message here is start today and get ready for that day, if you’re prepared you will able to handle it better.

    ·      Find that 1-hour a day. One hour a day over one year equates to nine five-day workweeks of eight-hour days. 9 weeks! Imagine what you could do in nine weeks if you just focused on that one passion. This may mean turning of the TV for that one hour each day and use your time more wisely.

What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?

Keep doing things, don’t change too much and just tell him that you can do it and help remove the doubts.
