Why Turning Off The TV Will Change Your Life
“The great distractions of life stop us from truly living, TV is the traditional favourite. We have become reliant on TV to entertain us, inform us, and help us make decisions. It is an external tool that defines us and in doing so binds us from leading a life we love. ” Leigh Martinuzzi
I made a decision to turn off the TV a few years back and it was the best decision I made. Instead of watching hours of mindless or negative TV I read books. Books that inspired me, that educated me, that gave me more opportunities to observe my mind thus allow me to better understand and create a greater life.
Not all TV is bad, I for one still love a great fantasy or movie but it no longer consumes me. Like any addiction, habit is a result of continued behaviour that is difficult to break against one’s strongest will.
This is one of my very first recorded solo shows launched as episode 045, that out of popularity I thought I would bring back. Enjoy!
