    Key Take Outs

    • Your masculine and feminine qualities. The masculine approach to diet is very much the disciplined and emotionless action oriented approach. It is black and white and is thought to fit us all. The feminine approach is one that is in connection with our senses and emotions. We need a healthy balance of both as it relates to our health and, in reflection, all aspects of one’s life.
    • Relearn what good health means. We have been bought up in a world that has moved us further and further away from knowing what good health means. If you really want to rediscover healthy living you must work to relearn it. This isn’t by going on a crash course diet but instead by really listening to yourself and being guided by your senses as to what works and what truly satiates and nourishes you.
    • Know your why. There is more to losing weight then just the kilos, what is your reason? Dig deep until it almost makes you cry in the thought alone. This is the reason why you want greater health; this is the reason why you are driven to improve your health. Don’t loose track of this reason, it is what will keep you progressing.
    • On experimenting. Not one shoe fits us all. Cinderella’s glass slipper is a unique fit to her only. This is the same with regards to health and other aspects of life. This is why its important to approach all practices and suggestions with an open mind and give things a go. Then adopt, pivot and create the practices that best suit your needs.
    • Eat with purpose. We are so fast passed in this day and age that we don’t even think about eating. We have lost the joy of eating and the reason why we eat. We need to connect with this. Bring your attention to the food, bring your attention to the body, and bring your attention to your senses. You may then be more aware of what you eat but also the benefits and reason for eating. I believe this kind of practice will help you make better food choices.
