  • 177: Leigh Martinuzzi| 3 Minute Thought: Ready, Fire, Aim & Why in Action You Can Perfect Your Art

This is a great way to approach life and all that you want to achieve. The idea is really to start taking action and stop waiting for the perfect time. For many of us this is how we go about living life. It’s neither wrong or right but if you truly want to accomplish those goals and desires you have then the ready, fire, aim approach may be a better way to go.

To often do we dream and create desires and then our almost natural way of proceeding is to ready ourselves, aim at what we want by planning, setting ourselves up but then never actually get to taking true action.

There are a number of obstacles stopping us in this approach. Firstly, when we get to the “aiming” stage we tend to procrastinate. We hesitate for a number of reasons. This may include our limiting beliefs, a belief that what we want to accomplish is not within our ability or another reason is that we are just waiting for a perfect moment.

The next reason often is that we are perfectionists. Either by choice or out of the fear that if we put something out there or take action and are not perfect or if we make mistakes we will be ridiculed or judged.

No one is perfect when they start out and even the very successful, those that you admire and look up to, are likely to state that they are still constantly learning and improving. Let the truth be known, your expertness will be raised by the action you take and period of time that consistent action is taken.

If you are ready to start living the life your dream of, that life you truly desire then today is the day to start taking action. Stop waiting! What is the very next step you can take that will move you a little closer to achieving your goals. Each step forward, each goal accomplished will bring you a little closer to living your ideal life. You can spend time in aiming, fine tuning, and honing your skills while you take that action.
