    Key Take Outs

    • Pieces of the puzzle. Life is a journey and not an sequence of overnight successes. By that I mean that each moment and point on your journey is taking you towards where it is you are meant to be. The important thing to realise is that most success doesn’t come overnight but rather it’s a longer term path.

It may be realised in 10 or 20 years yet when you reach that point you will see it is through a combination of your life events that has made it so. Be truthful and have trust in the process and stay focused on whats important to you. Perhaps most importantly is to enjoy the jorney as you proceed.

    • Try and grow. This is a tough thing to balance. It is important to try many things in life. As you jump around, experimenting with life you will open doors to new passions, paths and opportunities that you may otherwise not discover. Don’t become stuck in one spot, if it doesn’t feel like the right thing for you now, make change.

It is equally important though to allow and give yourself time to grow. Like a plant that is continually moved, it will struggle to grow strong- this may be true also for one’s life. Find the balance that is true for you.

    • Whole Foods. It seems common as I speak to health experts that a whole foods approach seems to be a very common thread. Avoid sugar, focus on minimal processed foods, remove excessive consumption and addictive food habits.
    • The 21-day habit formation. In 21 days you will have time to renew or break habits. I am not sure if 21 days is the true key but it seems to hold some merits. If you wish to break a habit or indeed incorporate a new one try it for 21 days- this will give you enough time to feel the effects/benefits in what you seek to change.
    • Simplicity/KISS. Keep things simple stupid- a Richard Branson philosophy and a great many others. It seems to work. If you complicate things you will be less effective. Minimalist lifestyle seem to live with less stress because they remove the ability for possessions owning them. A pure mind will help you remain present in the moment. And simple actions often lead to the greatest effectiveness. Keep it simple!
    • Planning. As Greg quotes, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” This is gold! Morning routines help you prepare for the day before you begin- lacking them will lead to less triumph in your day. A solid food plan will remove the temptations to eat rubbish. A healthy plan in life and some well planned goals will allow you to accomplish more success than would the opposite. Spend more time planning in life, this is where a majority of our time should be spent.

What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?

    Enjoy the journey.
