  • “Fame is the condition of being known by many people usually based on notable achievements. So create those achievements.”

How many of us want to be a massive hit in life. Hands up if you have dreamed of walking on to a stage with thousands of people in the audience waiting to hear you sing or jam it out on the guitar?

Maybe you dream of becoming the next Jonny Depp, Charolize Theron or even the next Richard Branson, the dream of stardom is not uncommon.

Fame is a projection of ones ego and we all have one of those, some much stronger than others. The problem is that we will not all become major stars or celebrities.

Ego is a psychological mind matter in its own right and if you chase fame to stroke your ego, your sense of self-importance in this universe you may experience suffering.

I don’t wish to tell you how to control your ego but rather how you can create fame in your way. W all can become the very best at whatever it is we desire. Do this and your ego will be humbly content, as your personal identity in this world is reached.

Find your passion and discover what value it is that you can provide to the rest or the world. When you do and live a life following your passion, a life congruent with who you are and why you are here you can create your own success. Life becomes more enjoyable, fun, happier and almost easy when you do so.

Whatever realm you choose to exist, in whatever industry your passion lays, you need to create your fame, you could be the next Oprah and you may very well not be but you can be famous in your particular niche. Reach for the stars but if you don’t get there it doesn’t matter because I can assure you you’ll enjoy the ride along the way and reach a level of fame that sits very pleasingly.

Here are four tips to creating your fame.

Work your arse off. No one and I mean absolutely no one reaches success and creates fame by sitting on the couch. For all the celebrities, all the successful entrepreneurs in the world, for all the brilliant mums out there, they all create their fame by working hard at their art.

If you desire to follow your dreams and passions and become a master at what you do and in the process create fame in that realm you must take action. If it means you’ve got to work outside the hours of work while you still earn a crust, than so be it.

Wake up earlier, go to bed later, and quit those excuses and just take action. And please, turn of the TV. If it only means you spend half an hour each day learning and practicing that art that’s fine. You will gain momentum, you will get more excited in the process and you will find yourself spending more time working your art.

Work your arse off. Honestly some do reach quick fame without great effort, but like winning the lotto this doesn’t last long, its not sustainable, soon they become unnoticed and again short on coin. Life is for continual improvement.

Create great content. Content is king. If you tell yourself that you have a passion that’s been done to death, perhaps you’re right but don’t give up on your dreams so easily. The world’s population is huge and great content is always going to be appreciated.

Richard Branson didn’t avoid entering the airlines industry because of the fierce and well-placed established brands and competition. He took charge, offered great service and placed himself with a unique point of difference. You can too.

Master your art, continue to learn, find your niche, and give them content that will blow them away. Virgin blew their customers away with great and fun service that was delivered in a unique way. You do this and they will come back, if you don’t they may never return.

Do you ever go back to that dirty restaurant that gave bad service on your first visit? Most likely not, content is king!

Create your brand. Don’t hide behind another brand but rather create your own. In the age of information more and more people are creating their own success and making sure it is their name to the brand.

Have a look at the number one entrepreneur in the world, the billionaire Sir Richard Branson. He has always put his name to the face of the Virgin brand and for that has become a major hit.

A face and personality helps people build brand trust and loyalty and this is exactly what Richard has achieved. When you think of Virgin you think of Richard and his fun and crazy character.

More and more online entrepreneurs use their names for their brand and I am sure it is so that people can more easily connect with a person rather than just a name. People want to deal with people.

To create your brand and make it memorable simply just attached you and your name to everything that you put out into the world. People will soon connect the dots and associate you, in whatever field that might be, as the expert.

Become and authority and gain celebrity status. You become an authority when you are the expert in your field and this is really achieved when you gradually built up your reputation following the above three rules.

When we visit the doctor, most of us do not question their diagnosis and take their word as gospel. The doctor asks some questions, says some words you don’t understand and then writes a script you cannot read. He or she is an authority. They have gone to doctor school so must know what they are talking about.

You can gain credibility by becoming an author or even by becoming a celebrity. If you write a book in whatever field it is you work or even write regular blogs on that topic people will view you as an expert. Its perception that works baby!

You can also become a celebrity and this is really just done so by putting your face out they’re into your community and being seen as always present. Host functions or community events, host webinars if online, host something.

Take a look at politicians; they are celebrities in their own right. The are always out in the community, kissing a babies head, or cutting a banner for a new store, giving speeches or digging in a local community garden. They gain celebrity status and for that they are remembered and get the votes come the next election.

“People will perceive you based on the messages you put out there. Be mindful of those messages but don’t let it stop you from being who you are and doing what you do.”

So there you have it four ways that you can help gain fame in your field and in doing so I am sure you will find your success.

As always please let me know your thoughts and if I can assist you in creating your fame in anyway please reach out. Peace, passion & purpose.
