“If money were no object what will you be doing?”

Elizabeth is a fire cracker and ambition woman that has had really great success in the finance and investment world. She began her journey as a young teenage mum but having the desire to support and raise her family she ambitiously set out on a career. She made loads of money is a pretty quick time and had so many great things and experiences but found she was not really happy.

It was this realisation she really began to discover her real calling and really began to strive to live more true to her-self. She is now a mentor and coach to help empower others to really connect with their inner self and assist them to reach both financial and emotional freedom.

She has just released her first book called Sex For Groceries: A book of trades, money and happiness. In this book Elizabeth shares her view that money is certainly not the key to happiness but rather the fuel to get there. Combining the principles of finance, philosophy and honesty she shares a formula that will allow you to live a rich-life full of profitable life trades that matter to you.

We discuss money and how our relationship with money matters, how to create your own living list to work towards, why slowing down on your journey to your dreams is more beneficial than a sprint towards them and what it means to make trades in our lives.

I hope you enjoy this show and please leave some comments and until next time, peace, passion and purpose.

    “It gets comfortable being uncomfortable.”

    Key Take Outs

    ·      Accept that it will be uncomfortable. Find comfort in being uncomfortable. This will set you on a growth path to success. When you achieve whatever it may be outside your comfort zone you become charged beyond belief and this will set the spark for the next challenge. It becomes addictive.

    ·      Money is a tool. Money needs not be confused as a tool of the greedy nor a complaint of the poor. Money does not create happiness it only fuels you on your journey. Money is not evil and money is not a be all and end all, it is simply a tool in life.

    ·      Happiness comes when you live in line with your values. When you start to live in your truth and that is doing things that are in line with your values and important to you, happiness will become apparent. Find it, live it, feel it.

    ·      Know what you need to do, the how will come. Knowing what you desire and understanding what you need to do is a great start. Don’t get wrapped up in concern about the how, the how will present itself as you take action toward the goal.

    ·      Write your living list. A living list is a list of all the things that make you feel alive and all those things that you wish to do, experience and achieve. They should not be tools or symbols of ego nor should the list be created out of the desire to satisfy or impress others, it should be what you value and what your passionate about.

    ·      What’s your relationship with money? Try and gain a healthy relationship with money if you do not already have one. Money can be destructive and controlling, like a drug, if not dealt with correctly. You control money and how it is used in your life not the other way around. When you do you will have no grudges or greed of it.

    ·      No were you are and no were want to be. When you discover what you want and create vision around were you want to end up and than by working backwards, you will create a road map on how to get there. Don’t become clouded by the end goal just stay focused on each little step along the way.

    ·      Take courage to do something different. Being so socially conditioned it is hard for us to take the courage to take massive action to live a life we desire but we must take the courage and make the change. There is help out there and you are not alone.

    ·      Have good nutrition and know your body. When you body is fueled right you will have energy like you wouldn’t believe. The better the nutrition the better you feel and the easier your journey towards your desires.
