  • The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure by Grant Cardone

“As long as you are alive, you will either live to accomplish your own goals and dreams or be used as a resource to accomplish someone else’s.” Grant Cardone

This is the first book by Grant Cardone I have read and actually the truth is I listened to this one and loved it. Audio is a great way to consume more when your on the go, and if I can listen to one book every fortnight that is one book more and that equates to an additional 25 books a year.

All the successful people in this world read and listen to educational material in order to continually learn and they never stop their efforts to do so, ever!

What I loved about this book is that Grant himself read it which is important I think when it comes to audio books because the message is conveyed better than having someone else read it and with more energy, passion and purpose.

You can certainly feel Grants passion and energy with this book.

I probably could have just put a blog together of all the quotes taken from this book as I feel they really give you a taste for what you can expect but before I do that I will give my two cents worth.

Grant describes The 10 X rule as the fourth degree of action, with the other three being- no action, retreat or normal action.

This level of action is 10 times the action of normal action. If you want to succeed and achieve massive dreams, goals and your wildest desires in life you have to adopt the 10X rule.

If you want to live an ordinary life, then take ordinary action or none at all. If you want to live like the status quo, do what the status quo do and expect what the status quo expect.

The idea of having big dreams and goals and expecting results through no action or ordinary action is false hope. All the belief building and visionary practices in the world wont get you there without massive action.

He defines those that take massive actions accomplish more and achieve higher levels of success because they don’t simple rely on luck or hope that good things will happen.

They don’t retreat either. When fear and self-doubt approach it is a sign you should be taking massive action, not wimping out. When you’re tired and overworked, you keep going. When someone tells you that you cant or attempt to criticize you, it means you should.

This book is full energy and full charge. Grant doesn’t slow down to help you absorb the message he goes at it at 10X the pace.

If you have been feeling like you lack the motivation to start doing something or if you have fallen of the tracks, this book is a sure fire way to get you taking massive action again.

If settling for an average life attracts you, then continue taking average action. I am sure if you are reading this blog, then that is not you. You have no desires to be average and if that is the case, read this book and learn The 10X Rule.

Here are some quotes by Grant from his book The 10 X Rule that I have pulled from an online resource.

“Weak and overwhelmed individuals respond to others’ success by attacking it.”

“In order to get to the next level of whatever you’re doing, you must think and act in a wildly different way than you previously have been. You cannot get to the next phase of a project without a grander mind-set, more acceleration, and extra horsepower.”

“What if the only thing standing in the way of your greatness was that you just had to go after everything obsessively, persistently, and as though your life depended on it?”

“Never take the position that things just happen to you; rather, they happen because of something you did or did not do.”

“Average is a failing plan! Average doesn’t work in any area of life. Anything that you give only average amounts of attention to will start to subside and will eventually cease to exist.”

“Don’t be confused by what looks like luck to you. Lucky people don’t make successful people; people who completely commit themselves to success seem to get lucky in life.”

“Think about it: What’s the worst thing that can happen to you if you just totally go for it?”

“All the excuses in the world won’t change one simple fact: that fear is a sign to do whatever it is you fear—and do it quickly.”

“When people start limiting the amount of success they desire, I assure you they will limit what will be required of them in order to achieve success and will fail miserably at doing what it takes to keep it.”

If this book sounds of interest you can purchase The 10X Rule: The Only Difference Between Success and Failure here.

I hope you enjoy this one- I certainly did. Let me know your thoughts and until next we meet-peace, passion and purpose.
